As a member of the HAWS-KM toxic tort department, Pete serves as local, regional and national coordinating counsel for clients involved in asbestos litigation in Minnesota, and throughout the country. Pete represents a number of manufacturers, premises owners, and contractors involved in asbestos related litigation. He handles and participates in all aspects of their case, such as initial assessment and investigation; discovery; motion practice; case assessment and strategy; alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and through the trial process. As a part of his litigation practice, Pete has been invited to speak before several industry and client groups about corporate witness deposition strategies, including topics relating to current litigation and trial advocacy trends.
Pete is admitted to practice in Minnesota state and federal courts. He is a member of the Minnesota State and Ramsey County Bar associations, and the Defense Research Institute (DRI). Pete has been selected for inclusion in Minnesota Super Lawyers ® – Rising Stars 2010 Edition. Pete has also worked with the Tubman organization to provide pro bono representation to clients involved in domestic disputes.
Born and raised in Iowa, Pete is a graduate of the Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska. He obtained his B.A. in Political Science from St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota.
In his spare time, Pete enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is also a runner, avid reader, and culinary enthusiast.
